This has happened for both a PC player (Moza R3) and Xbox player (Old Logitech G920 I think) in a two player career mode. Can't speak for the Xbox, but on PC I have on several occasions left the pit...
Ideas
I have noticed the same problem. Force feedback is missing or steering angle completely erases settings (360) and does not recover unless the game is closed and the game and Moza software are restarted. The alt+tab combination is not recommended because the problem also occurs then or if you move the mouse in "full screen windowes" mode.
