Can´t make changes during games

This has not happened to me, but has for my friends. They cannot make substitutions during games, either in division rivals or FUT Champs. When they are on the pause menu during a game, they try to enter squad management and when they do, it sends them directly to the menu again. They play on PC and i don´t know if its especifically for PC players or this happens to console players too. Check it out because its very frustating, especially in tied games that go to overtime.
