Clubs is unplayable due to sync error.

Whenever i try to play a game of clubs, no matter if it is a normal playoff game, or a drop in rush game, the game inevitably crashes and i get the message "An error has occurred, and you are no longer synced with the online match" or just the message that the opponent has left the game instead. Clubs has been completely unplayable during the entire playoff period for me. I am playing on PC on steam.
