Connection Issues with EAFC 26 on Xbox Series S

EAFC 26 won’t connect on Xbox Series S. It comes in with the error message upon failing to connect when starting the game

You have lost your online connection. Check your home network. You will not be able to access FC’s online features until you can reconnect to EA servers. Go to ea.com/unable-to-connect to find out more.

This is followed by a prompt to push Ok, the following message flashes on screen

Updating your online roster now 

Downloading live fixtures 

Sorry. A content update could not be completed. Please try again. 

This message only comes up when connected via Wifi and Wired connection. Mobile hotspot gets past the error message. I have contacted my ISP and everything is working well from their end. 

Any way to fix this issue, has been happening on and off for a week. Mainly in the evenings

  • EA please stop insulting your users intelligence with your message "You have lost your online connection. Check your home network...."

    I have an ethernet connection to my PS5 on my home network with 1 Gigabit speed. I do not have a home network problem. EA FC 26 servers are the problem, please adjust the message to inform the users that FC 26 is having issues and stop blaming your users home network.

    When I receive this message, I'm able to access other EA games on their servers at the same time, Madden 26 no problem, College Football 26 no problem, I even have access to FC 25 on EA servers so please stop displaying this message which might cause users to troubleshoot their home network when it's EA FC 26 Servers that have the issue.

    Why not just admit that EA is having server issues with a proper message instead of blaming your users.
