Duplicate player Bug

When I transfer certain players using Edit Teams → Club Transfers, the player is duplicated instead of being moved correctly.

 

Instead of leaving their original club and joining the new club, the player remains at their original club while also appearing at the new club. This results in the same player existing on two different teams at the same time.

 

The issue only affects certain players, but once it occurs, the squads become inaccurate and it makes creating updated squads impossible.

 

Steps to Reproduce:

 

Launch EA SPORTS FC 26 on PS4.

Go to Customize → Edit Teams → Club Transfers.

Transfer certain players from one club to another.

Save the squad file.

Check both clubs.

Expected Result:

The player should be removed from their original club and appear only at the new club.

 

Actual Result:

The player remains at the original club while also appearing at the new club, creating a duplicate.

 

Frequency:

Occurs consistently with certain players.

 

Additional Information:

 

I am using the latest squad update.

Restarting the game and saving the squads does not permanently resolve the issue.

This bug makes it very difficult to create accurate custom squads before starting Career Mode.

Please investigate this issue, as it has a significant impact on players who use Edit Teams to create updated squads.

    I'm getting the same problem. I moved Mbappe to Psg but now he's in Real Madrid and Psg at the same time also in career mode

    I think I found a way around this problem. In the last squad update there must be a bug between the players national team and club team because of the World Cup. So the players you want to move must be removed from the team sheet of their national team first before club transferring them to a different team.

    Steps:

    Edit teams -> National Squads

    Locate desired player to be transferred based on their national team. 
    Ex: Mbappe : France

    Select the player in the National Squad list and substitute that player with another player in the National Pool list, preferably a lower overall rated player. 
    Ex: St Mbappe 91 -> St Maupay 74

    Submit the squad to complete the substitution by pressing the start button.

    Now you should be able to go back to club transfers and transfer the desired player to any club without it duplicating.
