Edit Teams and Kick Off mode are broken functions of EA FC26

We play locally and edit teams to make custom squads. We have done this for years on FIFA and there was never an issue until FC25 where the game crashed after you edited teams and tried to play The ...

Have this problem on PS5. Bought game for editing teams with our favourite players and have only been able to play it on the same night as editing. 
if I’d have known I wouldn’t have bought it. We don’t get fc25 so didn’t know it had been an issue. Wasted £30 (thank god I only got it because it was on offer).
