Fc26 crashing on xbox series x

Dear EA Support,

I am experiencing a serious issue while playing EA Sports FC 26 on Xbox Series X.

The game crashes suddenly during gameplay and closes, sending me back to the Xbox home screen. This can happen at any moment during a match and has also occurred a few times while I was navigating the menus. Before the crash happens, the game freezes for a second or two and then closes.

I have already tried many troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling the game five times. Unfortunately, the problem still continues. The game is installed on the internal SSD of my console and I do not experience similar issues with any other games on my Xbox Series X.

Because of this issue, I have lost many matches in Ultimate Team, especially in Rivals mode. This problem is extremely frustrating and has seriously affected my experience with the game.

I would appreciate it if you could investigate this problem and provide a solution.

Kind regards

I feel your pain. The same EXACT thing keeps happening to me and what makes it worse is that when you're playing Ultimate team and the game crashes. It counts as a loss and you lose coins. It's so frustrating and it always seems to happen at the last minute when I make a miraculous comeback or just scored a goal. I feel like they owe us coins and some sort of update.

  • It’s a game engine problem, it’s not limited to EA FC26, expands to the formula 1 games as well, something about certain iterations of Frostbite just simply causes shutdowns on Xbox consoles.  Maybe they don’t sell enough copies of their games on Xbox to justify addressing this problem permanently on an engine level.  I got an immediate refund from Xbox.

in my opinion, the leadership people in charge of Xbox technical development for Frostbite’s engine at EA should be fired, they are likely paid good market related salaries yet consistently ship non functional products whilst blaming user hardware, the problem has been ongoing multiple titles (many years) now.

There are lots of graphically superior titles from different publishers which do not shut down these machines under the heaviest of loads, EA, it’s a you problem.

I don’t know what kind of corporate culture you have internally that allows stuff like this to persist but I think you (non-Swedish leadership) should probably look into fixing things.  Maybe onboard some technical leadership people with less appetite for mediocre complacency.
