Halftime opponent disconnect causes freeze and unfair loss on Xbox
During an online match on Xbox, if the opponent disconnects at halftime, the game gets stuck in the tunnel / players walking out animation indefinitely.
There is no option to access menus or continue the match.
If I wait, the match does not properly end. If I close the game or turn off the console, the system registers me as the last player to disconnect and awards me a loss, even though I was winning (e.g. 6–2).
This suggests the opponent’s disconnection at halftime is not correctly detected or processed by the server, leaving the match in an unresolved state. As a result, the player who remains connected is unfairly penalized.
This issue seems specific to the halftime transition and allows the opponent who disconnects first to avoid a loss.
