Opponent leaves, i get dnf?

Made it 8-5 in extratime, my opponent had enough and left. Finally after a long game thinking i was going 7-5 in champs. if i win all my games i will have great rewards. But no, i was kicked out of Ultimate team, i got back in and got a DNF warning, while MY OPPONENT LEFT THE GAME ? Make it make sense. Been playing Fifa since 2010 and this years game is by far the worst by gameplay and overall experience. Bug after bug after bug.
