Please. Fix career mode.

Fix career mode. It should not be on purpose that you can't sign your players to new contracts. 
If I signed a player and got a deal at a long term contract for a low salary then one year later the player wants a new salary- that sucks! OH BUT WAIT - the game won't let me give them a new salary... WTF.
