PS5 - A content update could not be completed

Platform: PS5

Summary of the issue: Cannot connect to online services/game 

Error message (at start up screen): 

  1. Fetching multiplayer roster updates
  2. Checking for content updates.
  3. Sorry. A Content update could not bee completed. Please try again

When exactly does the game crash? Loading into FC26

Recent timestamp (date, time, and timezone): October 1, 10:30-11:30PM (GMT+8) or October 1 3:30-4:30PM (UKT)

Error message jumps extremely quickly (as shown on the video). I have tried wired and wifi connections (both work fine for other games / mobile devices / laptop) and Playstation network works and Playstation account works.

I have restarted PS5 in safe mode and downloaded all software updates. I have downloaded all FC26 downloadable content, including all audio commentary (in different languages) after crashing the first time. No change.

  • I’m having the same problem on my ps5. It has been a month and i have tried deleting the game and reinstalling it, restarted in safe mode deleted cache and soft reseted my console.

    If found a fix please comment

    Any fix to this issue please. For now I will have to delete the game app, download 60GB and reinstall again this is hard

  • Still awaiting a fix. Have tried the below, with no success

     

    Delete all but Personal Settings

    Load Squads -> Squad Update

    Dashboard -> Log back in

    Yes please delate the corrupt file from your end . here is how to do it

    How to delete corrupt files

    1 Launch the game and log in to your profile.

    2 Go to Customise > Profile > Delete to bring up the game's file list.

    3 Delete all files except:

    Online Profiles.

    Files with Career in the name. These are your saves for these game modes—they won’t be re-downloaded and can’t be restored.

    Personal Settings 1

    You can delete this file to fix audio or visual issues like glitching, flickering, or loss of sound, but keep in mind that you’ll lose Skill Game progress and your custom controller layout. Only delete this if you’re okay with losing this progress and recreating your custom settings.

    4 Log out of the game and re-launch it to see if you’re still having problems.

  • Still having the same issue after months. What a joke. EA staff told me its being looked at, but yet they don't post any updates, threads, and 0 communication and accountability
