Severe Input Delay and Sudden Ping Increase on PS5 – Potential Routing Issue

Description of the Issue:

I am experiencing a severe issue with input delay and a sudden, permanent increase in my connection ping while playing EA multiplayer modes.

Previously, my average ping was consistently around 30–32 ms, providing a smooth and responsive gameplay experience. Recently, my ping has increased permanently to 46 ms or higher in every match. Along with this higher latency, the input delay has become unbearable, making competitive gameplay nearly impossible.

To rule out local interference, I have fully optimized my setup. I do not use Wi-Fi. My PS5 is connected directly to the router via a high-speed Ethernet cable. My DualSense controller is connected directly to the front USB-C port of the PS5, and the communication method is set to Use USB Cable.

Despite using a fully wired setup, the heavy input delay and increased ping persist. I am unable to determine whether this is caused by a routing issue between my ISP (Digi) and your regional data centers, or whether the matchmaking system is consistently assigning me to a more distant server.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Boot up the game on a wired PS5 system.
2. Connect the controller via USB-C with USB communication enabled.
3. Search for an Ultimate Team online match.
4. The pre-match screen consistently displays 46 ms or higher instead of the usual 30–32 ms, and in-game actions feel heavily delayed, with sluggish player movement and poor responsiveness.

Expected Result:

Be matched to the closest European server with the normal latency (around 30–32 ms) and responsive gameplay, as before.

Actual Result:

The game consistently connects me to matches with 46 ms or higher latency, accompanied by severe input delay and noticeably unresponsive gameplay, regardless of the time of day.
