When loading into a game my controller switches to player 4 (orange indicator)

I'm playing on PC and randomly loading into a game playing with my official XBOX series X controller the input for my game will stop working and the player controller will change to player 4 hence the orange indicator.

Ways I think this can happen: I've noticed it more when alt tabbing out of the game and focusing back into it. 

It's honestly ridiculous this bug is still here, it's been in since 23 where I first noticed it loading into pro clubs, and now it's in a competitive mode like UT. I've had to disconnect from many games due to this crap bug please someone take a look at this.

    I've just experienced this one too many times now as well. Just had it in the new live event, first time starting on pc for fc, usually on Xbox but wanted a change after experiencing gameplay late into fc 25. Regret it everyday after seeing how many bugs are in this game, the team management one as well, where you just can't make subs almost every other game whilst in that same game your opponent can make all the substitutions they want. It's disgraceful how they treat pc sometimes. They fix a fc point glitch in minutes but something that is affecting a whole platform is being put on the back burner of their issues it seems. Sad way to start my pc life on fc.

    It's terrible, like I said I always had this issue since 23 in clubs, but now it's even in UT..... 

    It actually just happened again while I tried to play with a PS5 controller and the same issue happened. Always happens when altabbing out of the game, it's unberable, free losses everywhere!!

    Nope, I also have a hilarious update, it couldn't have possibly been my cable or PC as I swapped BOTH and it's still happening
