CHEL - Game configuration failed

Game configuration failed . The game suffered a configuration fail. Please try again.

Me and my teammate have been suffering of this error for some time now. It is random, and the error pops up as the game starts to load into the game. We mostly play as a group of 4 people or more, so when this kind of error happens the rest of our group leave the game so we can re-queue for a new game, giving us all a very bad experience of the game. My teammate sent a request / message of this same issue a week ago, and we were told that the way to resolve the issue was to delete our club (https://www.ea.com/fi-fi/games/nhl/nhl-25/pro-clubs/overview?clubId=22277&platform=common-gen5) which we did. In hes message he referred to this post; 

The latest match where this error happened is match id of 13722533280441, where our team (Pekan Tangat) faces Usama HC. We had a group of 5 players, and only 3 of us got into the game. So me and my one teammate got the "game conf failed" -error and did not make it into the game. Therefore the rest of group ditching the match and giving us another 0-3 defeat to our name. The player id;s of the players that got the error when loading into the game: 802295888 and 1692714479

So with the advice given, we deleted our initial club (Div 1 club) to create another, which we were fine with as long as the error would be fixed. Now we are in a situation where we have deleted our initial club, but the error persists. So the solution of "deleting the club" wont be an acceptable answer this time, as it seems not to work.

I have now provided you with sufficent data to dig into this, giving you the exact match id of when it happened, and who it happened to. I can provide the PSN nicknames of the error victims via PM aswell, if the player id linking to psn names is needed. 

Im looking forward in hearing more of what causes this, and how we can fix this so that we can get the full experience of the game without having to always worry, when the next configuration error happens again.

    It’s literally unplayable and i really wish i could just get my money back literally every game ive tried to get into is a game configuration fail even when i just simply drop in.  It’s really ridiculous us as consumers pay for a device that seems to worsen and EA has little to no feed back or solutions to a major problem when it comes to consumer enjoyment.  It’s no surprise that the Nhl game series has seen a decrease in players over the years as more of these bugs seem to spring up and ruin an experience for many.

    😂 found the EA burner account. Above this post. Still can’t play the game. Ridiculous and they don’t give a **bleep**. I’d like a refund Community Manager

    With no help to EA, it looks like I have found a solution on the PS5 side of things. I noticed ever since I would load into NHL 25 it would absolutely break my Internet connection with my PlayStation. For a week it was frustrating by the end of the week my PlayStation would almost shut down when I loaded up 25. Couldn’t see friends list. Couldn’t see current parties anything After I booted up 25. Would get game configuration error, failed to retrieve data error, etc. I went into my network settings and manually change my DNS numbers to what I searched on google for the generic numbers. #1) 8.8.8.8   #2) 8.8.4.4

    And boom, booted right up and I was able to play 5 consecutive games last night and never had a crash, lose connection or anything.

    Interesting. I'll keep this in mind. Since it's more of an account related issue, it doesn't seem like this should work. Regardless, we're hoping this issue is resolved with tomorrow's patch.

    crazy thing about it is that seems to have literally been the exact situation for me as well. it’s like the game bricked my PS5 and my router wasn’t allowing access for internet to my console even with a ethernet cable. i had to contact psn support and he gave me the same solution and it’s worked ever since then as well. but this only happen as soon as i started playing NHL game modes online

    Same issue. I received a 3 day ban on the 28th. After the ban was up, every game I've tried to play since, doesn't matter the mode. 6v6, 3v3, Ones, drop in or clubs. I recieve the same "Game configuration failure" message right as the game is about to start.
