Connection Lost | Error code: 3982909855

I started encountering this error for the first time today before the weekly reset for the event. I can't find any additional information on this specific error except a thread from playtest era in search results that I can't access.

It happens after between 2 and 10 minutes of playtime consistently, usually after closing a menu but sometimes while playing, the game screen goes black for a minute and then this error appears. So far I have tried verifying game files in Steam, full uninstall/reinstall along with deleting the %localappdata%\Skate folder, repairing Javelin anticheat through the EA/AC folder installer, launching the game through EA instead of Steam, and updating windows.

This issue has been brought up more recently by multiple other users and has not as far as I can tell been addressed in any official way.

    I didn't change anything else after my last comment and now the issue has stopped so I can't check. I'm not sure but it seems like the issue might not have been with my computer/connection in the first place. More detailed error messages would help client-side troubleshooting, "timed out" and a string of numbers doesn't really tell me much about what happened and whether it was my internet or the server/s I was connecting to. No other online service seemed to be having issues from my end and I haven't added any new software.

    Sorry to hear you’re still running into this issue. I can see you’ve already tried flushing and changing your DNS, which are the first steps we usually recommend. Since that didn’t solve it, could you try performing a clean boot to check if another app or service might be conflicting with the game?

  • I've since attempted a DNS flush on my PC as well as reassigning my DNS to the recommended Google DNS settings. After changing my DNS I was unable to log in on first attempt and received a different error (below) but have since been able to log in again but not even long enough to complete a task.
