Game just closes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDww7b3SWhg

The game closes at the exact same moment every time  same second, same minute, within fractions of a second. I can launch it, and if I’m fast enough I can reach the main menu, but within seconds it just shuts down. No crash report, no error, no log, nothing. It simply closes.

I’ve fully uninstalled everything: the game, all files in %appdata%, hidden folders, leftover configs, even your own anti‑virus–related files. I’ve removed it manually and through Windows and Steam uninstallers, rebooted multiple times, and made sure there is zero trace of the game anywhere. A clean system, no leftover settings, no user edits, nothing.

The real problem is that I can’t even report this as a bug because the game never generates a crash, a trace, or any kind of diagnostic file. It just exits instantly.

I even recorded a video showing the whole process  Steam launch, the game forcing itself into 720p on a fresh install, and then closing seconds after reaching the menu. This only started after the St. Patrick’s Day event ended. A few days after that event was removed, the game simply stopped running at all.

where/when are you crashing?  from boot

I followed that entire list to the letter. Nothing worked, which is exactly why I’m here now.

I’ve checked other sources and tried every test people suggested across the web same result. The game boots, I don’t even have to touch anything, and it closes at the exact same time on every launch. I can let it sit or try to click into the menu, but it still shuts down on cue, down to the same second.
That consistency basically screams that something specific is loading (or failing to load) at that exact point in the startup sequence. Whatever triggers during that window is what’s forcing the game to close.

I’m running into two more bugs on top of everything else. First, the game sometimes boots in a tiny window that looks like 720p whenever it starts in windowed mode. It never seems to save the window size that you give it. Second, if I force fullscreen with Alt+Enter, it initially fits the screen at 3840×2160, but once the game loads further in, it suddenly stretches vertically and loses the aspect ratio. It’s weird that it starts correct, then breaks itself as it finishes loading.

And as a bonus bug if I rush into the game, you can clearly see I’m not fully loaded my avatar spawns under the map. That might even be what’s kicking me out, but I can’t get far enough to confirm. The video also shows me wiping every trace of the game and all user settings, so it’s not my configs. Drivers are updated too, as you can see in Task Manager.

I’m sure you don’t have time to sit through a 22‑minute video, especially when it shows no errors at all. How is anyone supposed to provide error logs when the game never generates any in the first place?

Side note:
I played through the entire St. Patrick’s Day event without any issues. I didn’t really bother with the event content itself  I’m more interested in finding new spots and making video content for this alpha. The game only stopped working after that event was removed.

And if you’re wondering why the video shows black screens or missing textures, you might think it’s a shader issue, but it’s not. I already wiped and reinstalled every trace of NVIDIA, including all shader caches, saved shader folders, and related content before recording the video. So whatever’s happening isn’t coming from leftover shaders or driver junk.

Good luck tracking this one down… or all of them.
Love, Gizmo
