I have the same bug occurring today. We tried to solve it for half an hour with my friend (I play on Steam, he uses just EA client); sometimes restarting the game helped, but we both had to do it at the same time. What I have noticed is that it happens mainly after teleporting or using fast travel, starting/ending a challenge, another person (random player) joining the party, opening a menu, or opening a shop. I feel like it is a loading problem because when we were just cruising on San Van without interfering with the mentioned options, it did not happen. Also, before the map shaders update (recent update), it worked much better; the bug didn't occur as often as now.
For now, I will stick to other games - too many issues with the game currently when playing with someone. I am not gonna play solo after 50h and almost completing the game in 100%.
