“Join a Player-Run Guild” Renewal Quest Reward Not Claimable

I also ran into this issue. I requested help through the chat system twice and got no help there. I ended up leaving and rejoining the guild and had to go through another "waiting" period to do anything with the guild. This led to my time running out of the quest string so i missed out on some key Light speed tokens for the returning quests.

Solution: don't wait around for help. quit and rejoin the guild or you'll end up running down the clock for getting the quest done. 

UPDATE: this had never been resolved by EA. I ended up leaving my guild and immediately rejoining, which gave me the quest. You can immediately join your guild as long as you just leave it and not join a different guild. You won’t have the 48 hours to wait to join guild events if you do it this way. You want to make sure no guild events are active though.

I see that the team fixed the problem by removing it without awarding the reward....
