[AA] Getting the 'Cooped Up' moodlet when working the park worker career

*mistakenly wrote camp counselor instead of park worker

My sim has the "loves outdoors" trait and the "outdoorsy" lifestyle. I've been playing with the new *park worker career.

She gets the "cooped up" moodlet when working, and becomes very tense. I thought that a park worker job would be an outdoorsy career and wouldn't give me that moodlet.

Is this a bug? Or maybe just a missed cross pack feature? Or is the camp counselor career not meant to be for sims with the outdoorsy lifestyle?

Edit:

I was using the following mods when it first happened, MCCC, wonderful whims, basmental drugs, tmex better exceptions, Kijiko remove ea eyelashes, and lilmssam's online learning system.

And CC, Eyelashes from twisted cat, skin overlays by twisted cat, and hair from a0harrisbrittany, thatonegreenleaf, simstrouble, and twisted cat.

Tested this on a clean, new save, mods taken out and cache cleared.

Made a sim with the "loves outdoors" trait, and used cheat sim info to give them the outdoorsy lifestyle. I had to wait out the in game sim week to start the career, and I had her sleeping in a bed outside, and she got the cooped up moodlet at the same time as the fresh air moodlet. She still had the tense moodlet after going for a jog. I made sure that the Sim had plenty of outdoor time, just before leaving for their shift on Friday, and as soon as she went to work she got the "cooped up" moodlet unfortunately.

Edit By crinrict: Added missing pack tag to title.

  • Hi Dragonlady135

Could you please provide the following information

    • Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do
    • What do you mean by camp counselor career ? The new pack only has a park worker career so do you mean the role on custom venues/Getaways or the park worker ?
    • There seems to be a mod though, is that what you mean ?
  • Park Ranger Career doesn't register as an Outdoor Career if you have an Outdoorsy Lifestyle.

Sim has Outdoorsy Lifestyle. Sim is in the Park Ranger Career. Sim is at work, just led an expedition even and is feeling very tense from being 'cooped up'.

This feels like a cross-pack compatibility oversight.

I just had the same experience in my game. It does not make sense and feels like an oversight.

  • I had the same experience! I have to cheat away the moodlet to keep my sim happy.

  • As far as I know the outdoorsy lifestyle will give you that cooped up moodlet at any rabbit hole job - even the base game manual laborer where you’re supposedly working in a garden. So this might just be a flaw in the way the lifestyle is set up rather than specifically a bug with AA compatibility.

Not the fishing job, or the conservationist job from island living. These jobs both give you a boost to performance when you have an outdoorsy lifestyle.
