[AA] [HR] Formative Moment: Bottle-feeding horse doesn't count as feeding animal

My child sim is doing the "Think of Others" formative moment.

The prompt is "Do 6 empathetic activities like Comforting another Sim, Feeding a Pet or Animal, or Volunteering with an adult"

He has a foal, so was trying to satisfy this by "Feeding a Pet or Animal". But bottle-feeding the foal doesn't work. Refilling the horse feeder does, though.
