[AA] Imaginary Friends Can't Be Summoned/No Pie Menu Options

Same issue as well. I had 2 Sims with Imaginary Friends on a Gibbi Point Lot, they never took their dolls with them and I could summon them all the time. Moved one of the Children into a San Myshuno lot with an apartment. First attempt I had the child put the Doll down and the doll vanished immediately, couldn't find it at all. Bought a 2nd doll and renamed it the same name as before and made it real, name stayed Krafty Kid.

Reloaded that save and tried again, this time the Friend remained until I sent my Sims out to dinner one night, Doll was on the floor. Got to the restaurant and got the notice that I left it behind. After getting home I can no longer summon the imaginary friend.

I am on PC with Mods. 

I am also having this issue. Deleting the cache and repairing the game did not work for me as it did another user. Deleting the invisible friend and repurchasing the same one did not fix it, and neither did buying a different version (KraftyKid vs Li'l Monster). 

Similar issues: My understanding is that the doll needs to be in the world - not in inventory - in order to play with  it or summon the Imaginary Friend. But, the Imaginary Friend dolls tend to disappear when placed in the world. Traveling seems cause them to reappear in the inventory. 

Can't place a marble in the spot where the Imaginary Friend doll should be.

Traveled to a park. Doll is now in her inventory.

Did some testing. This isn't consistent. I played with four different children in different saves, different dolls and neighborhoods.

One had no issues with their doll. This was a test game living in a very simple quickly built Willow Creek house without a lot of other objects, lots of clear space. No idea if this is significant or just random. 🤷‍♀️

One sometimes seemed to lose their doll, but sometimes if I switched to an adult household member, I could see the doll and move it. When I switched back to the child it was visible and they could interact with it again. Sometimes only traveling would restore the doll. This was also a test game. House from The Gallery with lots of stuff and MOO. 🤷‍♀️

One always lost their doll on their home lot, but it reappeared in their inventory whenever they traveled. Keeping the doll in their inventory - when not interacting - seemed to work best. This was a copy of my regular game with mods/cc removed. 

One - also a copy of my regular game with mods/cc removed - living in a r-rental had no problems. I don't use MOO with r-rentals (because it always seemed to cause issues) so ... 🤷‍♀️

I moved a family in world manager and the imaginary friend was still in their old house.  Now I have a lot that crashes my game any time I go to it in live mode (with any household).  I can access it in build mode with no issues.  

I have the same problem, before my child went to school, I sent her imaginary friend to the island, and left the game, when I opened it again and she came back from school, the friend had disappeared from the lot, it was not in any inventory and when I bought another one, the only interactions were to change the personality, rename it and play, but it also only plays for a few seconds.

me too!! My sim went on a Getaway and her IM can't be summoned anymore. Message suggest she's not on the same lot, but its literally on her dresser in front of her.

I don't even know where to begin with this, but I'm having similar issues. Somehow, my child lost their imaginary friend and had to make them a new one. And now ever since, I get a Last Exception about a haunted imaginary friend. I've done ever amount of troubleshooting possible INCLUDING making a brand new save file, and I'm still getting this LE.

could you provide the LE you're getting ? Open the file with a text editor and copy/paste the content.

I am now having this as well. I play on rotation, and before, I had a bug where it would reset. I just rotated back to the family this week. The doll says owned, but no option to summon:

If I tell her to play, she puts it into her inventory, pulls it out for a second to play, and then puts it right back into her inventory. The doll is also no longer on her friends' list, and I can't build a relationship with it. Things I've tried:

1. Purchasing another doll: She has creativity 6, but no option to summon. I can build relationships and got one all the way to friends, but still no option to summon, and the new one stays marked as unknown.
2. I've tried deleting the original and buying a new one, and I still have the same issue as #1.
3. I tried repeating after deleting the thumbnail and error logs, repairing the game, and then repeating both 1 and 2.
4. I've tried traveling and returning home, though not to the last place I remember having the doll months ago (I think I took it to camp and then discovered the inventory reset bug).

I think what I'm going to try next is to have her take the doll to a played relative, pull the doll out of her inventory, and then switch to that household.  I don't know what that will do, but I can't think of anything else but going back to Gibbi Point.
