please only report issues that you tested on a vanilla game (that means NO MCCC and no other stuff either). MCCC is a HUGE mod.
Going to leave this as Gibbi point does seem to have a few issues for this. For future reports though, if you leave things in, your reports will get ignored by EA and move to the mods forum.
I've personally only seen this when teleportation Sims somewhere, especially when they were in the water before. This was also fixed before for other world.
Also please use this thread for mermaids: [IL] Mermaid Swimming through the ground | EA Forums - 12305318. Moved threads related to that over.
If someone sees it for other worlds (unless Mermaids), please state so in this thread.
Sorry i forgot to mention it because i was too focus on making little mistakes in the text but i did test the game vanilla for this and got the same bug !
As mentioned i also saw it in the review of a content creator who had the early access ( and was also vanilla )
I do know that mods cause a lot of issues unrelated to the base game and wouldn't have written the report without testing it vanilla. Sorry again for not precising it !
