the pop up for the science career don't pop up. it's the pop that you can choose whether to go with the sim to work or not. i just updated (7-1-25) my game too. no i don't have mods.

Since last patch I can't go to work with my medic Sim to the hospital in Get to Work expansion.
Already tried fixing, reinstalling, editting the work attire, quitting the work, quitting and accepting another work, nothing seems to fix it.
Anyone has a clue of what to do?
Are you not getting the pop up option to go with them to work? If you aren’t, has this happened for a few days each time?
If you use mods/cc,try moving the whole mods folder to another place, delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.No mods/cc used ever, And I have no localthumbcache.package on my game files .
Precisely, the pop up doesn't show at all. Happened for a few days, started on Sunday.I am sorry that you are having this issue. Are there holidays happening in your game when they are due to go to work?
No Holidays or extra things happening, he does go to work, but I can't join him.

I just encountered the same. I think it started after fairy number two in the household took a job in the naturopath career. Her mother is max level naturopath, but it worked when she moved in with the reaper sim. Since both of the fairies have been working and starting at 9 I've not seen the popup for the reaper sim. I just tried the suggestion with toggling off, saving as new (always doing that though), restarting (and the deleted the thumbchache file before), activated popup on the reaper sim again and it was now a saturday and the younger fairy at level 5-6ish in naturopath got to call in sick to work - but she still got her 4-option popup and the reaper sim just went running to hers. Starting to get really sad about it. Hopefully it suddenly starts working again, or the second fairy will probably get to quit her job soon. So it seems sort of the naturopath popup "hinders" the reaper one for me, or something like that. On those there's no like toggle thingy for popups, so it's difficult to do something then. So might be something connected to that? And maybe certain levels. They recently were in Selvadorada also, and then super weirdly enough the max naturopath fairy got raises to the salary, and the lower level fairy got promotions - even though not being on the job but in a jungle :S
...and this is on PC.
