Active Career: Join at work pop-up missing

Have tried all tricks and tips internet and my imagination can muster. I can't join my sim. Something seems to have happened after the last patch that adjusted something with work, right?

Is anyone else having problems going to work with your active career sim or going to high school with teenagers?? I noticed weeks ago that the notification to go to work with my sim who is in the reaper career stopped popping up and they would just leave and go to work. Now that I have aged my kid into a teenager, it gave me the option to go with them but, now I’m stuck at a loading screen.

I purchased The Sims 4 Get to Work. Active careers (Doctor, Detective, Scientist) never trigger. There is no pop-up to join work. The Sim disappears as if it was a rabbit hole job.

I have:
- Removed all mods
- Repaired the game
- Reinstalled the pack
- Deleted The Sims 4 folder
- Cleared EA App cache
- Tested new saves

The issue happens in every save. This is a paid pack not functioning as advertised.

Update:

After clearing cache files (localthumbcache and localsimtexturecache), the issue persists.

Now the situation is worse:

- The career pop-up still does not appear

- The Sim no longer goes to work automatically

- I have to manually click "Go to Work" from the career panel

The active career event system is completely non-functional.

Yes, that option is enabled as well.

However, the issue still persists and the active career does not work.

Thanks. I don't have any solutions at this point. I can't duplicate it in my game.
