Auto Lights Not working

I'm also having an issue with the lights. All of the lights in every room stay on at all time unless I manually shut them off and they can only be shut down one room at a time. The auto-lights feature isn't working. These sims are at university and the house is a pre-built with no alterations so it's not a build issue. I've already tried removing all mods and starting with a clean game. I've deleted the cache. I've run the repair. I'm still having issues.
