My sims keep using mean interactions when talking with their partners. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but it started after the most recent update.

This has been happening to me too. No NAP's that include fighting, not fight day, relationships with compatible ppl who are attracted to one and otherwise happy - just start arguing and doing mean interactions and then physically fighting until they divorce. No matter how much I focus on getting them back on track - they fight again! I don't use any mods or CC but have all of the EPs.
I've had the excessive arguing happen before but it built up more gradually over time and was easy enough to fix if I spent time focusing on the relationship again for a bit. But it's gotten seriously out of control lately.
I spend two full days getting my most recent couple back up to least not red friendship bar and then I took my eye off them for a second, physically fighting, all the way red again! It feels futile to play any couples or relationships at this point.
Yesterday was my first time playing since the last update and out of nowhere my Sim was fighting with his visitting sister. They had a great relationship and it went all the way down. I thought maybe one of them was buggy but at school (different neighborhood) my Sim got attacked out of nowhere too. I'm on Windows and use mods, I've found a mod fix and it stopped.
Having the same issue with random fighting and mean interactions. Relationships go from full green/pink bars to full red bars in seconds. Romantic relationships go from very satisfied to very unsatisfied in their sleep. It's very frustrating.

there are bug reports for the autonomous flirting issue and fight interaction being available (thus leading to autonomous fights i presume) issue, i'm not a forum mod or anything but i would recommend voting and commenting on those reports since they tie into what you are saying here
Yes!!! This has been happening to me too ruining all the relationships, both friendly and romantic, that I've worked hard to build! So annoying. I absolutely hate the random fights too cause I thought you had to be a certain negative relationship to even trigger fights! Sims go from hugging and kissing to fighting and draining their relationships. And there's usually left over sentiments which are hard to get over.

This has been happening to me for the last couple of months! It makes playing with couple sims almost impossible. Today I just started playing a new game with a young adult couple and when the welcome party arrived one of the sims started flirting autonomously. This instantly triggered a jealousy trait on their partner and said that they have been cheated on. This has happened with at least 2/3 other sim households who are in relationships. It is so frustrating. I made this couple specifically to play a wholesome, loving couple who start a family. Not fun.
Something definitely went off the rails with autonomous interactions in the last couple updates. The mischief ones have been on my last nerve but the romantic ones are out of control, too. I had a bride totally ruin her wedding and her relationship with the groom by flirting with all the guests and I've been struggling to successfully complete dates because my couples won't stop running off to get busy in whatever crypt, bush or dumpster is nearby.
