When I choose to create a family recipe my sim begins to create the recipe, gets halfway through, and stops. When I queue up "continue ---" she is unable to continue and the little "can't get there" ...

My sims cant create certain family recipes like the poke bowl. the action doesn't even queue up after I've picked the dish, ingredient and effect. its like i never even selected anything. but it works for dishes that my sims learn from food stalls. they just wont work for dishes that you don't have to unlock to cook.
Are you using any mods/cc ?
Yeah, I use quite a few mods (food mods included) but I tried removing all my mods and checking if it would work but it didn't make a difference.
Try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
same exact issue with the poke bowl! everything else so far works fine like the protein platter and ramen but just not poke bowl. im on console so no mods or cc etc
