[BH] Can't visit household/business under certain circumstances
I'm using the Businesses & Hobbies EP with the Small Business/Residential Business lot. If I load from the 'travel' screen, I get the expected option to visit the household, or visit the business as a customer. However, if I load through other means [including (1) Click on building while loaded into the neighborhood, (2) Leave a sim on a Small Biz lot, navigate away to another lot/household/menu, then load the original sim at the Small Biz lot], it loads into the lot but the business is closed, and there's no "knock on door" or other residential interactions. There is the "Switch control to this household" option. I can also interact with items in the Small Biz areas without paying (i.e. use skill objects, read books, etc) but the business-related options (such as attending classes) are not there, and employees are not spawned.

Sorry if this is an already reported bug, I have searched and I've not found anything, but it might just be me wording my search wrong.
I have just purchased Businesses & Hobbies yesterday, and I am playing with a starter household I made. I wanted one of my sims to befriend the townie tattoo artist (Nia Sarpong), so I went to visit her house. As she runs a small business in her home, when you click on her lot via the map there are two options - visit the Sarpong household, and visit Spilled Neon (the tattoo studio). I chose to visit the household, but upon arriving I am unable to access her house. The residential front door to the left of the lot is greyed out when I click on it, saying 'This area is off limits to customers', despite me being a guest, not a customer. I can access the business, pay at the ticket kiosk, request a tattoo once she comes downstairs etc. But I just can't access her home, ie. the rooms marked 'residential', even though that is the option I chose. The game is acting as if I am visiting her business, when that was not the option I clicked on.
Weirdly enough, when I went to visit the other residentials with small businesses in Nordhaven to check if it was an isolated incident or a general small business issue, I was able to access the Koopman household with no problem? Visiting the Loden household was the same as the Sarpong household, greyed out door, unable to go upstairs. But when I arrived at the Koopman lot, the walls were up, I was able to knock on the door (not an option for the other two), the walls came down, and I could then access both the business and the residential space.
The only mod I use is UI cheats, which I removed after the first instance of this issue to check if that was causing it, but the problem is still occurring. If anyone has any ideas why this is happening, then help would be appreciated. As I said this is my first time playing with the pack so I can't say if this is a old or new issue as I've only had it for a day. Happy to provide any more info if needed, this is a first time bug report/forum post for me so unsure of the etiquette. Thanks!
what happens if you click on the on the business door ? The front door is the business one. The switch control is not greyed out for me though. For the Koopman you're clicking on the business door.
Could you please test a new save if that has the same issue ?
For Sarpong/Loden, the business doors give me the option to switch control to household in white, and the residential doors show switch control but greyed out. Same goes for any other doors on the other floors in the Sarpong household's case (photos below). Whereas with Koopman, the business door has switch control, knock, and the For Rent options of eavesdropping and breaking in, and the residential door has just switch control in white. I can only knock on the business door for them as I'm assuming that is what is set as the front door.
I've made a fresh save and it's working completely fine, just as the Koopman lot does in the save I'm having the issue with. I'm able to access the residential parts of all 3 businesses with no problems in this new save. So I'm guessing it'll be an issue with my specific save? Like I said, this is a new pack for me and I've literally only played in one save so far since I got it (excluding the test save I just made), so I don't what could have caused this, as it happened the very first time I went to visit someone else's house.

Not for the Sarpong household, no, that was my first visit. Brief timeline of events:
Downloaded the pack, made my sims and their house, stayed in the house for a few in-game days.
Went to visit the Loden business for a hobby class after about a week in-game - fine, no issues.
Later went to visit the Sarpong household as a guest - had the issue.
Tried visiting the Loden household as a guest - had the issue.
Tried visiting the Koopman household as a guest - worked fine.
Visited Sarpong business, Loden business, and Koopman business, all as a customer - worked fine.
Made a fresh save with a test sim as you suggested, was able to visit all three households as a guest with no issue, and all three businesses as a customer no issue.
I'm not having any problems when I choose to visit as a customer at any of the three lots, it's when I try to visit the Sarpong and Loden households as a guest. The game acts as if I am visiting as a customer, and I'm unable to knock on the door or access their residential spaces.
To travel, I nearly always hit M on my keyboard to take me straight to the travel screen. After reading that other post I went to check a variety of other ways to travel; choosing the travel option in the phone, clicking on the building when already loaded into the neighbourhood (my sims live next door to the Sarpong household), and even trying the travel by train or bike options that are available in the Iverstad neighbourhood. But all of which still result in me visiting as a customer despite choosing to visit as a guest.
It might also be worth noting that when I'm already loaded in to the Iverstad neighbourhood, I click on the Sarpong lot next door and choose 'Visit Nia Sarpong/Sarpong household', it doesn't even give me the option of choosing between visiting household or business. I begin travelling there as I would if i had clicked on any regular residential, so you would assume it would take me to their household - and yet when I arrive I am seen as a customer once again.
This is happening to me too, i thought I didn't have the small business limit et correctly, but I do and its greyed out. Sims visiting as guest can't sit down or interact with any items in the house because the game is recognizing them as a customer.
