Hello,
I recently made a tattoo parlor with an apartment on top of it in the game with buissnesses and hobbies. I set the apartment as residential and everything else as public. Despite this customers are going upstairs into my apartment anyway.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is with mods, but all mods that I have in my game are updated for the new pack.
Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > localthumbcache, repair your game and then try again on a backup of your save to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.
Even updated mods can have bugs and I need you test without them.

I've tried, and still happens. Only work-around it is to lock the door to the room with the ladder in. I've set it to lock for "everyone but employees".
Sounds like they customer think that's the exit.
This is just that one business ? Could you test if it happens if you replace the ladder with a stair somehow (for testing) to see if the ladder is causing issue ?
EDIT: Thought there was another thread in bugs but I can find the one for them not leaving while closed. There was reports of Sims entering non-public lots while open.

I'm have the same problem. My sim has a small business Residential and the customer that comes to the lot go in to my sims home even though it is set to Residential. Two sims say after closing.

Hi jordyou23
Please use this thread for Sims staying after closing: [BH] Sims entering closed business/won't leave | EA Forums - 11980640
This issue is pretty specific as users leave through the non-public areas. If you have them just going into non-public areas WHLIE the store is open and stay there, it's best if you make a new thread (I thought there was one but can't find anything else).
Adjusting title of this one a bit.
