Same issue here--my sim's wife is an employee of her small business, but I've noticed she is constantly not longer employed there. I haven't noticed the loading screen thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's also when it happens. I know it definitely happens after I start the game and resume my save file. I have to keep adding her.
