I found a bit of a work around....I think. I restored a previous save and loaded the household. I had any household employees quit the business. Then I transfered the business to my sims boyfriend. I moved out the original business owner by herself when she loaded at her new house she no longer owned the business. I then went back and deselected the business to be associated with the lot and moved the bf out. He now owns the business and it's not associated with any lot. Just to be sure I bulldozed the house from the original house and replaced it with a copy I had saved on the gallery before all this started. I moved the og business owner back in with her daughter. Now no one in the og house owns any businesses. I purchased a small venue lot and put her business there. I renamed it just to be safe. It opens and closes! I had to sacrifice the bf but there's other, not bugged, fish in the sea! Hope this helps a little❤️
