After the October 27, 2026 update, some foods that cannot be cooked appear in the Family Recipes menu from Businesses & Hobbies.
These include:
- Vendor-only foods from Snowy Escape, such as Taiyaki
- Pizzas that are normally made in a pizza oven or ordered
- Snacks and ready-to-eat foods
- Preserves from Cottage Living, such as jams, which are normally treated as ingredients rather than cooked meals
These foods appear in the Family Recipes selection menu with a required cooking skill level of 0 and a cost of §0.
When attempting to prepare Family Recipes using these pizzas or snacks, the Sim does not respond and no cooking action starts.
When attempting to prepare a Family Recipe using vendor-only food, the Sim ignores the kitchen and heads to a nearby food stall, even if the stall is closed.
The Sim enters the closed stall, is charged Simoleons, and eventually comes back out without receiving any food.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Load the Oak Alcove lot in Bridgeview, Newcrest.
2. Make sure the house has a usable refrigerator, counter, and stove.
3. Click the refrigerator and select the option to create a Family Recipe.
4. Select a vendor-only food, such as Matcha Taiyaki from Snowy Escape.
5. Complete the Family Recipe creation process.
6. Instruct the Sim to prepare the newly created Family Recipe.
7. Observe the Sim's behavior.
Actual Result
The Sim ignores the available kitchen appliances and runs to a nearby food stall. The Sim enters the stall even though it is closed.
Simoleons are deducted from the household funds, but the Sim neither receives nor prepares any food.
Expected Result
Only foods that can be prepared using standard kitchen appliances should be available for selection as Family Recipes.

I also encountered this issue when attempting to prepare Family Recipes using the Dine Out restaurant kitchen on a different lot.
I also tried placing a pizza oven from Home Chef Hustle, but the Sim still did not respond when instructed to prepare a Family Recipe using one of the pizzas listed in the menu.
