I went to a tattoo shop with my sim and asked for a custom tattoo to the shop owner.
After selecting the tattoo in the CAS, My game go back in the tattoo shop but my sim wasn't on the terrain. In the HUD she's displayed just like if I was at home but she was at the tattoo shop. I can't do anything with her.
Going in the world view and selecting my sim again, fixed the issue
Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.
I'm not using any CC or mods
Also the issue is not exactly the same since my sim is alone in his family but I guess if it's a similar bug
I don't have any Last Exception file in my documents folder
