As soon as I add railing to my stairs (and across the top step effectively creating another room) I can no longer assign as residents, public, or employees only. Spandrels also delete any room assignments

I've also been having this problem. Restarting has solved it every time so far.

Edit: I put the railings in and the room was not assigned anymore. Then i saved and restarted. And the room was assigned with the railings in place.

Has anyone come across a glitch when trying to run a small business on their lot the tab where you determine which rooms are for employees, family and customers is glitched. No drop down menu to be able to choose.
Just finished making a lot and I'm trying to assign small businesses to each room but I can't get the window drop down to appear.
I'll click the room but there is no outline appearing. And I continue to get the kiosk not accessible pop up.

Im trying to build a residential small business lot and just got the hang of zoning the units, but when i added an exterior trim to the building, suddenly the room inside lost its unit outline and its unit type couldnt be changed. removing the trim fixed it, but id like to have the trim on the outside and still be able to zone that unit correctly.
I've also noticed issues with some rooms not letting you select residential/public/employee only. I found that saving the entire lot to my library and placing it again allowed me to set room types for every room. Could be a short term workaround.
I'm having the same problem currently on two public space rooms that can't be given a room type.
Edit: Went to the main menu then came back and it let me assign the two not working rooms correctly now.
I have the same problem. I think it happens when I add a fence. Sometimes not right away. I would leave it for a few minutes to work on smth else come back and notice that the menu is gone. I also have another bug where walls disappear.
Hey! So I just had this exact issue, I’ve been a week into running a business and expanded my apartment above my business a level and I wasn’t able to register my new rooms as residential while in live mode, and build/buy mode. I was able to fix this by going to manage worlds, clicking on my active household lot and clicking build/buy mode from my map instead of clicking play. All of my new rooms seem to have been giving me the option to select their category.
