This sounds exactly like what's been happening in my game! I do NOT own Adventure Awaits and my Sims have gone nuts with flirting and fighting. I managed to stop it with the MC Command mod, as there are settings to turn off autonomous flirting and mean interactions. I did not patch with the December update yet, as I've been afraid of more things breaking and I've got my game somewhat stable right now.
