I was able to initially fertilize while it was growing, but not mature. I looked online and this appears to be a known issue since July 2025 (around EbN) but I saw no open bug reports (feel free to merge if I am wrong). Edit: also though there is a water status, they can't be watered after matured either.
Community ManagerSo does needing additional reports just mean not worth fixing to the Sims team? Or too hard to fix? Because it's 100% reproducible and not a one off. I've had this for a long time and was happy to find this posted to vote on. You have to put other plants around it and "fertilize all" in order to fertilize a cow plant now. Bugs with less votes have been fixed before but I guess it's only if it's easy for you to fix likes CAS tags? I follow so many bugs that are actively in my game and every time I get a new status notification for them it's been a let down. They're either switched to " needs more info" or "awaiting additional reports". There's no transparency on what the threshold is for these tags either other than to stall fixing them imo.
I have a post about this type of frustration here. "Waiting for additional reports" is very frustrating, especially when I can show them the internal files where there is an error/oversight X /
I feel you that CAS tags just seem less important, than actual gameplay errors. One suggestion I have in the post I linked, is to fast track errors if either it is confirmed by a trusted source (like crinrict) and/or if internal files are provided for the exact issue (as proof). Instead of waiting for the average user to notice the error or issue, let alone report/upvote reports.
