The update broke my game too. Tried to load my GIP - it loads to the world select screen but as soon as I try to enter a lot with Sims on it, it boots me back to World Select. I uninstalled all my mods, repaired the game, same problem.
After reading this thread, I tried a fully clean save. I was able to create a sim and get the move-in screen. But upon selecting a lot, it just left me on an infinite load screen.
