I am trying to remove a dad / husband from being related to the people in the house, but it's not working. I have done "testingcheats true" and "cas.fulleditmode". When it loads to CAS, I click on "husband" and try change it to "household member", it won't let me select it. Same as "father" to "household member". Nothing happens.

Wow. The only trouble I've run into, so far, is that I had to remove the relationship from my young married couple to rid them of the bug that won't allow them to interact romantically. I used a mod, MCCC to do this. Then I took them into CAS to restore their marital state, because rebuilding the steps to achieve his ability to ask her to marry him was taking way too long. I used the cheat: cas.fulleditmode, and for the first time ever I was denied, as I got the message unable to edit an existing Sim. Face/palm. I've done it before you unintelligent mass of coding. (Not the exact verbiage I used at the time.) I did end up clearing their marriage relationship via MCCC, then I was able to make them spouses again. Phew, what a bunch of hoops I had to go through. All of this to say, I feel your pain.
I’m not sure if this is a bug or not but on console when I have pre existing sims I can’t add parents or only marks them as partner, household member, or sister/brother. It’s kinda annoying and I wanted to know if there’s a way to go about this issue since I’ve never experienced this problem before.
I have the same problem, it happened about 3 months ago and I forgot until today when I tried to add parents and same thing again! Coming right after stairs broke my game…. Have you figured out what happened?

Is anyone else on console or playstation specifically having problems editing household relationships?
I'm unable to change certain sims to have a mother/ father or daughter/ son relationship?
I’m on PS4 & yeah this has been happening to mine. My main sim I made her sisters & ended up wanting to make their parents & wasn’t able to.
I have two children in CAS and I'm trying to assign their parents. I assign the first parent just fine. When I select the relationship type for the second parent, the first one is canceled and reverts to "Household member." It will only let me do one parent at a time. The parents are married if that matters. I have MCCC but this has happened to me before I ever downloaded any mods so I doubt that's it. It doesn't happen with every household but when it does there is no workaround.

is this for a household you newly created or did you take them to CAS with the cheat ?
If it's the second, could you check the family tree of the children if they already have a phantom parent ?
Hi, it is a household from my library that I have never used in live mode.
Can you place them in the game and check their family tree ?
