Can't change features to sim in cas menu

Recently when I go into create a sim only some of the features are working. I can't change the eye color on my sim and I can't access any item if I click on the infinity all symbol for that category. Does it matter what it is?Whether it's facial features or clothing. I can only access some items if i click on a category but not all. Same thing is happening in the gallery. Where I can access some features, but not others. Eventually, the game freezes every time after numerous attempts, and then I lose my saved data. I know there's been a lot of changes recently but can we slow down on so many of these changes and concentrate on making sure the features and packs actually work.
