After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top...

Happening to me too. I just spent a bunch of money on packs and can’t build now, weeks into playing. I can’t save, can’t place items and can’t build. I also thought it was the stairs or the platform issue but it’s neither. It seems like placing items works until I try to do things in the build menu. I can place windows and doors so far and it doesn’t break it. I have tried platforms, stairs, and walls and all broke the game. In addition, copying a room broke it.
