After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top...

as soon as I add stairs or edit the stairs in build and buy, anytime i add any furniture or edit the walls/flooring, my edits wont stay in place- they just disappear? Then the game won't save, just gets stuck on the spinning wheel for eternity and never saves, so i lose all my progress. This seems to literally only be when I add stairs, its fine otherwise??
Have no mods or CC, reinstalled the game, repaired the game, updated the game, I've tried everything.
