After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top...

Ever since the update the game has not been working properly. I don't have mods or CC or anything else installed, only Sims 4 and the DLCs.
I was building in build mode then when I get to place a certain table, that's when everything failed.
I put it down once, then picked it up, when trying to put it down again, it stuck. I can't even sell the table. Only using Esc can I stop the action. Then when I try with other furniture, nothing could be placed.
I then tried to exit the game (Save and Exit) but it stuck on the "Saving" screen for horrendously long time that I had to force quit.
Now I can't build, can't save, can't upload to gallery, can't do anything.
