After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top...

I do not use mods/ cc. I have just recently done a fresh load of all the Sims 4 games/ expansion packs onto my new computer.
I discovered when in build mode trying to make the vacation rentals more comfortable (better beds, better fridge, etc) that it would not allow me to replace the cheap crappy fridge. It just "stuck" on my cursor. I rolled my eyes and went with whatever and moved on. But now I have moved my sim into a new furnished house (because I didn't feel like going to all the trouble of building/ adding/ whatever and when I deleted the crappy bed it won't let me add a new bed. I pick it up and place it where I want it, and... POOF! It disappears! So not working in live mode either.
Very irritated and more so as I log in here and I see this issue has been ongoing for over 2 years!?
