After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top...

I thought this had somehow managed to fix itself in my game because I had stopped having the issue but today after trying to build on the lot where I first encountered this, it started happening again. This time it just suddenly stopped letting me change anything in build mode after I had built a new room. I tried to change the size of the room by dragging a wall and it wouldn't work (it drags and shows me how much it should cost but then when letting go to confirm the change nothing happens) and then I tried to place a roof and nothing, again it lets me duplicate the roof and put it in place but it won't actually place down. I have built on this lot with no issue as of late so it's almost like something very strangely specific is triggering the problem, like some particular tile is bugged or something. This is on a 64x64 lot, not sure if lot size could be a factor.
After realizing it wasn't working, I tried to exit to Main Menu and my game got stuck on a loading screen and I had to force quit.
