After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top like the eyedropper then going back to the select tool it will let me place another item, but only one. Then click on the eyedropper again and back to the select tool, for each item I need to move or place.

I'm having this issue since the last update.
Currently rebuilding my worlds and placing plenty of Lots, but if I try to edit them it's very difficult. It will let me move an object but cannot then place it down elsewhere - I have to use the clone tool to place a copy then delete the original. I can sledgehammer something once, then I can use the delete key once, but they only work once so I have to keep alternating between them. Also, moving whole basement rooms, the game seems to have a mind of its own! It will let me place and turn them into certain positions but not others (nothing in the way).
Basicly The O buttom only works for Camera use but the canceling interacting when you dont want a object you chose in Buymode wont work
I'm having this issue still as well, it's random and doesn't happen in every game and when it happens I can usually place one new item or delete one item then I have to switch tools to click on something else to be able to place/delete another item, I also cannot take things like seeds/fruit etc out of my inventory to plant them. To "fix" it I usually just have to exit to the main menu and reload my game but it is very frustrating when you are trying to build or edit a lot. I play on a windows gaming laptop (direct x 11) with all expansions, updates etc and zero CC or mods.
Been having this issue on and off since 2023 🫠 I usually have to repair my game to fix it but I CANT repair my game right now because that will update it and I don’t want the photo bug so what now!!!???

Activating memory boost helped for a while I think, but now it's back—even with memory boost enabled.
The only change besides the latest update is that I switched to a new computer with much better specs the day after the update. After playing for a while on the new computer, the issue reappeared. I then discovered that memory boost was automatically disabled on the new computer and I had to re-enabled it. However, the issue continues to occur now, even with memory boost activated.
Before, this only used to happened to me after downloading lots from the gallery, but now it starts randomly. I also noticed a similar error—some additions I made to builds weren't saved when loading the world view. Not just the thumbnails, but the lot itself.
By the way, all my drivers are updated and my specs are much higher than the game's minimum requirements (RTX 5070 Graphics Card, 32 GB RAM...)

Quick update on this issue: I reverted my save to a version from just before this issue started occurring. Since then, I haven't encountered the problem in my backup save again, even after extensively stress-testing the build tool and downloading multiple builds from the gallery.
Additional observation: I've noticed a pattern with this issue—it consistently starts in Oasis Springs for me! I've sent a video before (like a year ago) of this issue starting in Oasis Springs, and now it started again there. Now, the issue began after I placed an original Oasis Springs lot (saved from a completely new save file) into my current save on a bulldozed empty lot. I was planning to renovate the original build rather than making the lot from scratch.
I dont think ive ever personally ran into this bug. I dont use any mods or CC what so ever. Ive seen this bug has happened to quite a few people in the past. In build mode or from my sims inventory i cant place any objects, food or furnishings. Quite frustrating and makes the game almost unplayable. Not sure when the next update is but id love to see this bug fixed sooner rather than later :/
I recently created a whole new game file that I’m keeping vanilla (no cc/mods or previous saves). I did move my tray folder to the new file. When I try to edit or build on lots I can only delete one item and then it’s like my game freezes up and I cant no longer edit or build anything and the second item I attempted to move or delete is stuck to my curser. what is causing this?! I started my new sims4 file due to all my previous saves being corrupt (lots would show on the map but when I clicked to enter one it would be empty. The new file and no cc/mods fixed the empty lot problem but now I still can’t change things…. Especially if downloaded from gallery.
