After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top like the eyedropper then going back to the select tool it will let me place another item, but only one. Then click on the eyedropper again and back to the select tool, for each item I need to move or place.

Finding an issue with placing objects in build mode. Will let you place one object. And then nothing else. Attempting clicking on another tool like previously suggested but, it didn’t work. This continued even after repairing the game.
When playing the game, it will not let me place wallpaper or flooring at all. It will let me look & see what it’ll look like & then take it away.
When playing the sims, I can’t place furniture. It will take me to build mode & to the category but I go to place it & it takes it away like it was never there.
When in build mode, I cannot place walls on Xbox. Can’t build a house when I can’t build walls.
Hi, I’ve been constantly getting problems with placing new objects down from the menu. It is very annoying and repetitive making it impossible to play the game and build anything. I choose an object from the menu, move my left stick and then it disappears taking me back to the menu
I have this issue as well, quite frequently actually when placing lots! It first started when I decided to adjust/replace all the lots when Life and Death came out. I'm not the best builder, so decided to place lots from the gallery. It does not happen with every single lot, but maybe every other. I always had moveobjects on, because pretty much all of them were built using it. It happened to me for example when placing Kate Emeralds renovated mansion for Ravenwood, as well as many of lilsimsie's Glimmerbrook lots, and many more. Whenever I placed the lot and I want to add or remove an object, I can only do it once, then I have to exit whatever tool I was using, back to the main building interface. For example I could delete 1 object, not 2, or paint 1 brush stroke at the time. Or I could use the hammer tool once, move to the eyedropper tool, back to the the hammer tool to delete another thing, and so on. Luckily it settles to normal after one or two reloads, but if I go and edit any of the other already placed lots, it mostly appears there too when not yet restarted. I play on an old save, because I'm so slow at building my own lots. And play on console.
Still having this issue
When i pick up a already placed item and try to sell it it doesnt work, same if i try to pick it up and place it down.
When I start Build Mode, I can move and delete objects as usual. After playing for a short time, this is no longer possible. I can no longer delete or place objects.
I have already tried:
-uninstalled and reinstalled the EA app
-uninstalled and reinstalled Sims 4
-cleared the cache and all other data
-repaired the game
-I do not use Mods
And when I want to Save the Game it is not possible.
Unfortunately, none of this has helped.
