Same issue is still there after May 12 update, and oh yeah did the same thing over and over again, but sadly the bug is still there. Basically this means anyone downloading a pair of cousins without any "bridge" sims from the gallery will suffer from the same problem as well. I'm incredibly frustrated and disappointed that my issue still isn't fixed yet. I really miss my families in the legacy save file, and yet I'm still stuck waiting, and it's been more than 3 months since this problem occurred 😒☹️🙁😞
