I just went in to test and provide more feedback.
I was using MC Command Center. I disabled Custom Content and Mods from the game options > other and restarted the client.
I went into a save and reached the point that my Sim had to go to work. I stopped the action, went to that Sim's inventory, and clicked wear with current outfit (the work outfit, retail store). I saved the game and quit to the main menu. I then loaded the game, and it was no longer equipped.
I play on console so no mods and this happens to me. Even when it’s the same exact work outfit they wear everyday.
