I have this issue too and this issue is not a cause from the recent September update, it has been existing for a while ago. sim and pet went for a short walk but stop at a random point and remained standing at that point for a long time and then proceed to another random point and continue to stand there for a long period of time too, afterwards, sim and pet proceed to return home. Entire walking session for a short walk lasted 10mins in real time, it is way too long for a short walk. I hope this will get fix soon.
