Some Sims age up bald to teen bald

I have been aging up child Sims, and several of them have hair as a child but end up bald as teenagers.

Alexander Goth is an example, but that might be intentional.

I have had other child Sims, both male and female, end up bald as teenage Sims.

The random hair upon age up to teenager should have some link (similarity) to the hair on the child. Straight hair on a child Sim should end up as straight hair on a teenage Sim.

I have to go into CAS to fix it, but the hair color is missing because the Sim is now bald and no hair color is showing as selected.

My last three male Sims have aged up from children with hair to teens without hair. I thought maybe it had something to do with the fact one of them was the son of an alien and the others was a grandson of an alien, but they all had hair before they aged up. Maybe it really is related to that, but they usually don't go from hairy to hairless. Plus, I've never had this many bald Sims before, ever.
